Compression in temp folder before copy to dest

Thanks for the great tool
Regarding the compression:
1. Why do you compress after copying to the final destination? For many this will be a usb stick, very often a slow one. So it would make sense to create a temp folder, copy the backups there, compress them, and the copy it to the final destination. That would at least save me a lot of time using the SSD rather than a USB2.0 memory stick.
At least make it an option?
2. Why keep the uncompressed files after the compression is done? That defeats the purpose.
One more thing, regarding the foobar2000 support:
- Skip the wavecache.db file? Its not usefull for anything, and can be several hundreds of MB big.
